Glen Harvey Named Elks' Firefighter of the Year

South Fire District Firefighter Glen Harvey was honored as the "Firefighter of the Year" by the by the members of the Middletown Lodge of Elks, BPOE #771, during their Honors Night ceremony. The Middletown Elks serves eighteen different towns, and this is their first year recognizing a Firefighter.
Glen was selected from several applications as this year's recipient, and was presented with:
• A plaque from the Elks
• Recognition from the Mayor, and a day in his honor
• A Firefighter of the Year pin for his dress uniform from Chief Badamo
• A plaque from the firefighters recognizing his achievement
Glen has been a member of the South Fire District for 29 years, and provides service above and beyond every day.
Sergeant Craig Elkin from the Middletown police department was also recognized as the police officer of the year.
