Meeting Minutes

Annual Meeting
February 1, 2010     8:00 PM
Present: Commissioners Gallitto, Gregorio and Sarcia. Chief Badamo, Deputy Chief Krol, Fire Department members and members of the public.

Absent: Commissioner Roberts, Commissioner Russo-Driska


  1. CALL TO ORDER
    Chairman Gallitto called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m.

  2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
    The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

  3. READING OF LEGAL NOTICE
    Comm. Gregorio read the Legal Notice for the Annual Meeting as posted in The Middletown Press and The Hartford Courant on January 20, 2010. (Copy attached) The purpose of the Annual Meeting is to elect one Commissioner for a term of five years.

  4. ELECTION OF COMMISSIONER
    Chairman Gallitto announced that only one member of the public submitted their name for the position of Commissioner, former Commissioner David Darling.

    Commission Secretary Gregorio cast one vote for David Darling.

    MOTION to approve David F. Darling be elected Commissioner to a 5-year term commencing February 2, 2010 at 12:00 noon by Comm. Gregorio. Unanimously approved.

  5. ADJOURNMENT
    MOTION to adjourn by Comm. Gregorio. Unanimously approved.

    Meeting was adjourned at 8:02 p.m.
